“It starts with a spark from someone else, continues with a calling to do more, and ends when we fulfill the purpose of why we are here”

It all begins with an idea. For me it started in 2013 in Fargo, ND. I was a part of a small group of guys who had a vision to grow closer to each other and to reach out and help their community. One of the group members ended up start Higher Power Automotive now Fix it Forward Auto Car & Ministry. The goal of this was to take in donated cars, fix them up and donate them to community members in need. Leaving collage it lead me to start thinking about how I could use my skills to help those who are in need around me. At that time my skill were very limited. I knew I loved working on cars and helping others.

Since 2013 God continued to give me direction for my passions and talents and that has changed the very purpose and goal of the ministry. God developed and changed how I wanted to help people. I didn’t want to just help in one area in life and be done. I wanted to create a pathway for people to walk to get them out of a perpetual state of dependence on others and onto living a life of independence! I determined the main things someone needs to be self sufficient. A home, job, transportation, financial training and help in other areas of life to make them successful. Then it hit me! This is impossible! How do I even begin to start this? When will I have time? Would people even want my help? As I struggled with these thoughts I was consistently reminded of Matthew 17:20 "For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you." . Thus the name was born Moving Mountains Ministries. I believed that nothing is impossible when you have God on your side.

Our goal at Moving Mountains is to do the impossible and take broken, hurting, desperate people to a place of healing, comfort, and peace. Doing so by walking with them throughout their hurts, struggles, and pains.
